Move over traditional food trucks and fancy cupcakes and say Hello to Charleston's cutest food truck, Sweet Lulu's Bakery On Wheels.
We operate out of a DHEC approved commercial kitchen in Mount Pleasant, SC. And we've been blessed to consistently keep our "A" rating. Living in a coastal community like historic Charleston, a lot of time is spent out on the water. Every chance a Charlestonian gets, we pack a cooler and flock to the beach or hop on a boat. Thing is, dessert is often hard to transport. So, we make savory and easy-to-go desserts in a jar. A mason jar fits nicely in any cooler and is as Southern as our tasty pecan bourbon pie. Our mason jar desserts are also ideal for a birthday party, oyster roast, bridal or baby shower, holiday party, corporate event, and even the oh so chic Charleston wedding. We'll even deliver desserts to your door free of charge. |
Who is Lulu?
Lulu is 3 year old hound dog rescue adopted by our owner Karen Moran.
On August 3, 2012, Karen lost her 15-year old furry kid Chloe. Chloe was a lab/border collie mix she adopted from the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago and adored more than anything. One week to the day, Karen lost Chloe's bestest bud Harley, a 15-lb tabby cat who was devastated at losing his best friend. Yup. She lost not one, but two, furry kids in a week. And, while she wasn't ready to adopt another pet, she knew she could give one a good home. So off to the Gulf Coast Humane Society Karen went. It was there she found Lulu who stole her heart. It's been puppy love ever since. |

I'm not a fancy pastry chef nor did I train at an even fancier culinary school. I'm just a gal who bakes with love.
