It's no secret I love to cook. But here's something you might not know...I love, love, LOVE...easy peasy recipes. You know the ones - where you quickly put together a few ingredients you more than likely already have in your frig - and ta da - breakfast is served! We'll here's an amazing and simply Sunday Breakfast Recipe you might even make during the week |
One pastry sheet found in your grocers freezer
Brie
Walnuts
Dried Cranberries
Cinnamon Sugar
Butter
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350.
This recipe is for a single serve pastry but you can merely double the recipe for as many as you like.
While the pastry sheet is still frozen - break apart one piece - it will be folded into 3s. If you wish to make the entire sheet - wait for the sheet to thaw to gently unfold the sheet.
Melt a small pad of butter in the microwave and using a pastry brush or spoon brush a little of the melted butter on the inside of the pastry sheet.Let the sheet thaw enough to gently roll the sheet - if it breaks apart - you need to let it thaw a little more. Sprinkle the inside of the pastry sheet with cinnamon sugar. Cut off a piece of brie, add place at the end of the sheet. On top of the brie, add some roughly chopped walnuts and dried cranberries. Quantity is how many you'd like. Then gently roll the pastry sheet and repeat the process until you've rolled the entire sheet. It's usually only 2 or maybe 3 rolls depending on how many walnuts and cranberries you added. Once the sheet is completely rolled - brush the remaining butter on the top of the pastry sheet, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and top with a few walnuts and cranberries. Bake for 15-20 minutes depending on your oven. Pastry sheet should have a little bit of a crunch to it when done.
