Sweet Lulu's Bakery on Wheels
How do you serve?
We offer two serving options. We can either be on-site for your event with one of adorable custom built trailers Mini Pearl or Buck, and personally serve guests from them or drop-off our delicious a la carte desserts to display and serve to your guests as you see fit. What's your pricing? Can you send me a quote? We do not send out quotes as all our pricing is available online. Check out our Pricing & Packages for full details. Is a deposit required to book? Yup - it sure is. We require a deposit of 50% to reserve your desired date. $350 is a non-refundable booking that is factored into that 50% deposit. Payment in full is requested 30 days prior to an event. You will be emailed a contract from HelloSign to electronically sign. Sorry but we do not accept checks. As we're booking well into 2021, we do not hold dates under any circumstances. Please do not ask us to send a contract if you are unable to pay the deposit invoice within 24-hours. All contracts will be cancelled if not paid in the allotted time frame. How far in advance should I book? Due to our beautiful weather, Charleston wedding season extends throughout the year, but the busiest times are April, May, October, November and December. During these premium times, we book weddings a year and a half advance. Corporate lead times are much shorter. Most times, we can accommodate last minute requests as we have three trailers to accommodate our many bookings. Do you offer tastings? You can schedule a tasting delivery. What's your cancellation policy? We get it. Things happen. And sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your big day. But, please keep in mind, once you reserve a date, we hold that date specifically for you and turn away all other weddings or events. {minus $350 non-refundable booking fee} 180 days prior to the event day, you'll receive your deposit in full 179 days or less, you'll receive half your deposit 120 days or less, we will retain 100% of your deposit 90 days or less, the full amount will be owed We highly recommend you inquire about wedding/event insurance due to unforeseen circumstances (I'm talking about you Hurricanes Matthew and Irma). Travelers, Nationwide, Progressive and a variety of other carriers can provide you with a wedding insurance quote. What venues have you catered? How do I know if my venue will let allow Sweet Lulu's? Please see a list of all the venue's we've already catered. NOTE: Just because we've had our cute Mini Pearl and Buck on-site at these beautiful venues, doesn't necessarily mean our caravans can be parked anywhere at every venue. We highly recommend you confirm exact placement with your venue and planner prior to booking, Mini Pearl and Buck. How many desserts should I order for a wedding or event? If ordering jars, we recommend at least one jar dessert per guest. If ordering mini's, we recommend 1 1/2 per guest. While traditionally not all guests eat dessert, we find it very rare we have dessert left at the end of the night as some guests will eat 6-7 jars each. Shocking I know, but I've seen it many times. As such, we recommend keeping flavors to a minimum to help with some guests wishing to sample all the flavors. For 100 jars, you can pick 4 flavors. Two weeks before your event, we'll confirm numbers and menu. If needed, you can always add more. |

Do you only make desserts in mason jars? What if we want "regular" cupcakes?
As Charleston's only mason jar bakery, we only make our signature desserts in mason jars. And we make a lot more than just cupcakes. Our cupcakes, cobblers, pies and cookies are not only delicious (and often copied but never replicated) they're unique - just like you want your party to be.
Besides "regular" cupcakes are boring. Everyone makes them and they all look exactly the same and displayed on what appears to be ... the exact... same... rustic... wood farm table. Yawn!
No one will remember your regular o' cupcakes but they'll certainly remember our delicious and one-of-a-kind Sweet Lulu's Bakery mason jar desserts served from Mini Pearl or Buck.
Besides just imagine all the fun and unique photography you'll have when our adorable caravans are on site!
